I’d go with the solar panels provided you have enough sun. But there is a Swedish company (name is slipping…) who makes wondeful wind generators, that may help on your search.

Has anyone used Bruce Lock & Fold DIY hardwood flooring?

Question: Has anyone used Bruce Lock & Fold DIY hardwood flooring?
I am putting hardwood floors in a space that is approximately 600 square feet. This is hardwood, but it fits together like laminate. It looks easy to install (from the manufacturer’s demo video). Is it good quality? Please tell me if you have had any experience with this product. Thanks!

Moss on my roof – anyone know an effective way to remove it?

Question: Moss on my roof – anyone know an effective way to remove it?
Can it be jet washed off? Or does bleach work or moss remover from DIY shop?

Any ideas welcome!!

Thanks.

If it’s on tiles, leave it there. It’s a sign that the tiles have gone porous. The moss is waterproof: clean it off and you’ll get damp problems.

On a flat roof, you’ll normally find that it’s attached to the chippings rather than the roof itself. Sweep up the moss and chippings (let it rot down, then it’s a great improver for clay soil). Rechip using spar rather than crushed slate.

Answer by bugsnthings@sbcglobal.net
it all depends on where you are placing it,some people i know have concrete slabs, some dirt, some sand, if it is a above ground pool? plumbing shouldn’t be an issue, place close to outlet is good. try asking pool supply store as they are to have a better answer then you will get here.

Question: I want to change a Ford Transit 190 LWB (Ereg) low roof into a hi top. Can anyone tell me how/ who can do it?
I have an old but very sound transit converted to a camper van but it doesn’t have a high top roof. I am able to get the hi top but am struggling to find someone who knows how to fit it. Is it possible DIY or is there someone out there experienced in doing these conversions on old vans?
