I need to seal in the floor in my bathroom to make it water proof. Which sealent should I use?

Question: I need to seal in the floor in my bathroom to make it water proof. Which sealent should I use?
The floor is just a vinyl one from Carpet Right and I need to seal it up against the wall round the border of the bathroom. Also, the toilet and sink were installed on top of the vinyl – should I run sealent round the base of each unit too? I would like to purchase from www.screwfix.co.uk (I have other bits and pieces to buy from there) so please, if you can, please provide a link from Screwfix. I welcome any tips as Im useless at DIY !

I can’t provide a link because I’m in the States but a good silicone bathroom caulk will do the trick. Use can use it around the floor where it meets the wall but I’ve usually seen it around the toilet and the tub/shower.You don’t need any sealant around the sink cabinet.

Home Repair & Maintenance: How To Paint Old Linoleum Flooring

Did you know you can save money by painting over your old Linoleum flooring? Well you do now. Here are the steps presented in the video. Step One: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use a medium grit (100) sandpaper to scour the old shiny surface from the flooring. Step Two: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use a bucket of hot water and a regular mop to remove the remaining dust after sanding. Step Three: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Depending upon your floor’s design, cut your painter’s tape to cover the areas you wish to not paint. In this example, my floor has a regular 4X4 tile design. Step Four: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use a regular roller to cover the exposed areas with the paint of your choice. I used Glidden’s Porch & Floor Paint with a satin finish. Step Five: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Allow paint to cure for at least 12 to 24 hours. Step Six: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remove your tape strips from your flooring to reveal a brand new floor with fresh colors and durable paint. Step Seven (Not added in video): ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use a good acrylic based floor finish to cover your floor for added sheen. This will bring out the colors and help protect your new painted floor. Several coats may be applied. Visit Jud Online At: www.judsonfoster.com
